During his 26-year career in health care administration, Paul Wasser has been recognized by a number of organizations for his work in the industry. In 2019, Paul Wasser received the Silver National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), organizations that advocate for seniors and their living conditions.

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Awards go to applicants who consistently seek to improve health care for senior citizens. The Silver Award is given to applicants who demonstrate that they have achieved positive results through finding ways to deliver quality care. These outcomes are measured through how the applicant’s organization embraces core values and visionary leadership, innovation in management, and resident-focused excellence, among other benchmarks.

This assessment is based off the Baldrige Excellence Framework, which provides a detailed evaluation of how the organization works, its tools to improve approaches, and its results. The Silver Award paves the way for organizations to receive the highest AHCA/NCAL honor, the Gold Award.
